The Subject Headings Subcommittee of the Cataloging Working Group last met in 2020, just before COVID hit, to discuss changing the heading Illegal Aliens to Undocumented Immigrants.

The group was put on hold because of the migration, but recent changes to some Library of Congress subject headings have stirred the need to convene again.

We will review the following:

-- Define the charge of the subcommittee 

-- Establish the apparatus for how any changes to subject headings are communicated

-- Define the process for how it is decided that we will follow local use for subject headings

-- Consideration of the impact that any changes will have on OSL cataloging staff
