Digital Library of Rhode Island
The Digital Library of Rhode Island (DLORI) will serve as a portal to digital collections at libraries and cultural organizations statewide. Originally envisioned as a hub for the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA), the project is moving forward as a stand-alone portal for online collections that showcase the unique history, cultural contributions, and collections of our state.
Learn more about what the Office of Library and Information Services and partners at the Brown University Library and the Providence Public Library have been developing since the initial RI-DPLA meetings and get a first look at DLORI in its early stages of development. At the meeting, we’ll share information on free membership in the DLORI community, what this could mean for your institution, and the requirements and collaborative support needed to launch this state-wide resource. Specifically, we'll discuss:
- A preview of the DLORI's early development and platform
- The benefits and logistics of free institutional membership
- The collaborative support and resources needed to move forward
- Opportunities for shaping the future of DLORI
Join us to find out how your institution can contribute to and benefit from this important initiative.
If any reasonable accommodation is needed to ensure equal access or participation, contact the Office of Library and Information Services at (401) 574-9300 not less than three (3) business days in advance of the meeting or program date. More advanced notice is highly advisable.
