Supporting Voter Access in Rhode Island

The right to vote is one of the most important rights we have as an American citizen and as Rhode Islanders. Join Kate Bowden from Disability Rights Rhode Island and Nick Edwards from the RI Secretary of States' Office to review how to support voting access for your patrons ahead of the state Primaries and General Election later this year.

By the end of this session you will:

  • Know the upcoming voting dates and deadlines
  • Navigate the vote.ri.gov website and resources
  • Understand various voters' rights to cast their ballot
  • Feel more confident helping your patrons:
    • Check their voter information
    • Find their polling place
    • Apply for a mail-in ballot
    • Access voting through assistive technology
    • Request assistance in the voting booth

This session will be recorded.

If any reasonable accommodation is needed to ensure equal access or participation, contact the Office of Library and Information Services at (401) 574-9300 not less than three (3) business days in advance of the meeting or program date. More advanced notice is highly advisable.
