Making With Purpose: Community-oriented Makerspaces in Libraries

Steve Heath from FabNewport and Dan Berman of the RI Computer Museum will facilitate this hands-on, thought-generating workshop about why making in our libraries is beneficial for our communities and how we can approach Makerspaces with intentionality and purpose. Whether you already have a Makerspace or equipment but are struggling to make effective use of them, if you are thinking about adding a Makerspace to your library or if you have already discovered the secret to managing a thriving Makerspace, join us to discuss the state of making in RI libraries, and generate ideas and action steps to bring back to your library.
