In this session, we will help you get logged in to your new Microsoft 365 accounts that will be used for the new OSL Connects.  We will briefly explore what is available to you with your M365 account and set up email forwarding to your library or “work” email address, so you won’t miss any notifications!

What Is OSL Connects 3.0?  We hope to transition from the current Drupal website to using Microsoft 365 to power communication and collaboration for OSL.  There, OSL has reimagined OSL Connects to make the most of this new platform.  Members will use Microsoft Teams as the portal to OSL Connects which allows easy access to chat, files, applications, and other resources in the Microsoft 365 suite.  Teams is accessible via a desktop application (recommended) or via the web.

What’s New in OSL Connects 3.0?  The Microsoft 365 platform offers us the ability to do more.  With current active development by Microsoft, new features and enhancements are coming along at a fast pace.  Notable features of this new experience include:
•    Virtual meetings – Members may use Teams to schedule unlimited virtual meetings in a “Zoom-like” interface.
•    Video calls and screen sharing – Members may use Teams as an internal phone system to easily chat, call and screen share with one another.
•    Improved transparency – Open chat channels will help everyone to stay more easily connected with important projects and decisions.
•    Viewing and editing files – Members can easily browse, view, and edit files without leaving Teams.
