Data on a Deadline: Quick Access Data Tools and Visualizations

Data on a Deadline: Quick Access Data Tools and Visualizations

Did you know that the Census Bureau has more than 50 different tools available? Explore census.gov with Data Dissemination Specialist Nicole McKenzie and learn where to find and how to use a variety of data access tools that can quickly provide a snapshot of your community or state. Through short live demos you will gain insights about tools and resources such as QuickFacts, Narrative Profiles, Interactive Maps, and more.

Following this workshop, attendees will be able to understand, access, and use Census Bureau data, which can be helpful to libraries for community research and outreach, program planning, and resource allocation. Attendees will be able to assist patrons more confidently in accessing data and navigating the Census website.

This is the second of four workshops with US Census Bureau. Make sure to check out the other workshops in the series:

All workshops will be recorded and available in the OLIS Library Learning Center on Niche Academy.

If any reasonable accommodation is needed to ensure equal access or participation, contact the Office of Library and Information Services at (401) 574-9300 not less than three (3) business days in advance of the meeting or program date. More advanced notice is highly advisable.
